A DXCC rule change to allow shared use of a low band RX site that is located
within a specified distance of the main station makes sense to me.
My station hears OK, not top tier by any means, but we work our share when the
local power lines behave. For the last month, I have had a single sour
, and produced a very solid, workable copy on the DX. Laid the
antenna down one day, worked KH1 on 160 the next day and on 80 the day after
that, then took up the wire and went back to mowing!

I've had very good success with 16 ga stranded with black insulation for
radials! Seems to hold up well and not very obtrusive or noticeable. Last
time I got some, I also got a 1000' spool.
