on
this past winter's moose damage of the receive antennas, never
to early to get ready for the season. And the bears are not on
this hill yet as the berries are not ready.

Well, Glenn, I would lean toward voltage-feed at the base, since you have
that insulated tower! Because of the lower current, the ground-losses
would be minimized, and the current maximum
a lot of USA and JA's calling. Not a few but a lot and for
sure for me not a relatively easy QSO.
Sorry I never made it but if this band was easy I wouldn't do it.

easy to work stations calling CQ. This is probably
a downward spiral. They quit, so we quit calling.
But it's early yet, another night cycle at 0600z starts for me. SSB is
not the best choice for contesting on topband even on a good night.

from Alaska and we work USA all day long and they answer
us! Please call us anytime you want but just once per band. In fact
if you can call us right now using a JA callsign it would fall in line
with all the other JA's calling us.
Contesting from Alaska is hard.

open to the USA and we can fill in some
W0 and W7 mults. Band is completely absorbed here at 1am
local, but it's early yet. Last night we had some great gray line to
east coast and 4's/5's at their sunrise. Thanks.

made out of Rohn 25 series fed insulated
base. on a cliff edge. I cleared out the Alders that grow about
3 feet a year from around the philly guys. Old 781 radios and
Alpha power so I'm ready.

There isn't even any common darkness hours between Alabama and 9M0,
although there is a few minutes of common twilight.
I guess you don't want to hear my complaining about common darkness
on topband.
