I received a number of replies to my question about RDF. Many thanks to
all. The consensus was that 2 dB difference is the magic number. Thanks
again for your interest, and I look forward to seeing all of you on
Topband.

Recently, I have been intrigued by the antenna parameter RDF. Please,
can someone tell me, by how much can RDF change(dB) before the
difference in performance of the antenna will be noticeable to the user?

This is a very interesting U-tube presentation by W3LPL on solar

Hi Ken:
I use a butane unit that I THINK I got at Radio Shack. It works well.
You can get the butane at Wal Mart, or most "Stop & Rob" corner places.

see better performance. I did a significant amount of reading on this
subject, and the consensus was that this number radials is near the
point of diminishing returns when you don't have the real estate to put
down a large number of full length radials.

Thanks to all who responded to my question about the K9AY antenna. The
consensus was that there would be little or no interaction between the
loops. I got a response from K9AY himself who also had the same opinion.
So, it's built and ready to go.
Thanks again,\.

loops farther away from a chain link fence. So, the question is, will
this configuration have any serious detrimental effect on the array
performance?
