I had a fantastic string of EU stations calling me while I was running
up around 1870 - no problems whatsoever attracting DX well above the crowds.

If it had not been for the window I could not have worked what I have on
160. I would say it had gotten me at least a dozen new ones. One year

John W2GD has it exactly right, in my opinion. There is no longer a useful
purpose for the DX Window in contests. 160M has become such a popular band
that 5 kHz just isn't enough to make a difference!
