A lot of people have been requesting FT8 on TB. Probably because it has a
better chance of getting through given the "summer" conditions.
I will try to get FT8 going tonight in the F/H mode starting around 0530 and

I have strong wideband noise centered on 1828.
Unbelievably loud this morning (05-Sept) in VA at my SR. Honest S9, no QSB!

Earlier (0900 Z) most NA signals were weak but solid and very readable,
yours included. I probably worked 100 NA-s by 1030, when the QSB got very
bad. Strong signals would disappear in moments without a trace -- and never
come back. Same with the JA-s, who can be pretty strong here

G'day Top Banders,
I got on TB at 1100 Z. Noise from a tropical system north of us (we are -9
degrees, south of the Equator) was causing extreme QRN. I could barely copy
S9+ stations. Normally TS noise comes in crashes separated by seconds. This
time the crashes were virtually continuous.
Condx and distance make so much difference. In California my 160m DXCC
total was abt 60 over a 20 year time period.
I retired to Arizona in 2009 when condx were great and using a 30ft tall TV
mast for the vertical section and abt 80ft horizontal sloping to 20ft at
the end, I easily worked over
Jim not a bad count.
Here I am at a count of 86. Been working at it for 38 years here in the city on
a tiny lot.
Working 100 for DXCC on 160m better happen before I die. Age here is 70.
Its what it is.
