So I had this same noise in our new remodeled kitchen and it was really bad. I
found the problem was not the led's but the 12 vac switching power supply
feeding them. I purchased 12vac transformers, put them on a plastic box and
wired them in place of the switching supply and all the noise is go

That's very interesting.
I have heard that long led strips eg in the kitchen are powered from a noisy
smpsu: the long cable is the antenna. A linear supply should stop that
noise or small ferrite toroids (it's very low current). I have just
purchased some from IKEA and will be testing

Subject: Topband: New Noise - 160 Meters
Just put up my 160 antenna and have a new noise source to find. Very loud wide
band buzzing that starts in the middle of the AM broadcast band and then
abruptly drops to zero at 1870 KHZ. I have attached sound file and panadapter
screen shots. It is not coming from my QTH. One night it went off
