Plan to install two RBOGs shortly. The E/W RBOG path would most
conveniently place half the length adjacent to a two foot tall wire mesh

My experience is that critters love chewing on coax laid on the ground. I use
hardline where possible which seems to be almost but not complete
My experience with a 600' regular Bev 6' over a 5 wire barb wire fence
was not good. Modeling also showed it had little directivity. A
solution in the modeling was to insulate all wires every 150',
segmenting it into 4 x 150' fences. Wires beyond the Bev ends could be
continuous any length.
I know that some hams have this issue, but we never have. I have over 800'
feet of quad-shield flooded F6 either on top of or slightly below the
grass. Part of one run (over 100', feeding the TX antenna) runs along the
