Cheating goes back a long ways. It surely predates ham radio by eons.
I know personally, when I was on Sable Island in 1996 as CY0AA we got QSL
cards for impossible QSO's.
ie: 6m cards from the Netherlands when I worked NONE.
Another 1 or 2, 160m cards for noontime local. I tossed them in t

I had to work them twice on 40 (2nd time made it) and 30 (not uploaded yet)
after solid Q's the first time that didn't make it into the log. I'm not
surprised that you ran into this. Possibly a transcription issue under less
