[tbc-users] no constraint violation warnings?

2009-03-10 Thread Michel Bohms
when I have constraint violation warnings when only using TopSpin, these disappaer after inference when I have added swift (after topspin)... is this normal behaviour? (will swift add triples that de-violate the constraints again?) thx Michel

Hi Michel, there may be side effects between OWLIM and SPIN, in so far that OWLIM (or another inference engine) may infer additional triples which impact the SPIN expression syntax. I will change the constraint checking engine to ignore such inferred triples when the SPARQL queries are

[tbc-users] Annotation properties in latest TBE

2009-03-10 Thread James A Miller
I think there is a new feature in the new TopBraid, and I don't know if I have been misusing Annotation Properties, or maybe I'm somehow using TBE incorrectly. I have an Annotation Property, and I am trying to load the Object. TBE shows it to be a String field, and won't let me drop an Object

Jim; It works in 3.0 beta as well. Given an annotation property appearing on the Form, you can Add empty row... and drag/drop a resource into the field. I'm guessing you have some other way of doing this? I'm a little unclear on what is meant by load the Object. -- Scott On Mar 10, 4:19 pm,

Hi James, I don't think anything has changed since 2.6. I just verified that it still behaves as it should: When an annotation property (or any other) has no range (or owl:allValuesFrom), then you can assign either literals or resources to it. So please double-check that no range exists.

[tbc-users] Sorting in Instance Tab

Hi, We recently switched to using AllegroGraph to store our ontologies. From inside the Composer, we can no longer sort the instances by columns in the Instance Tab. I have learned from Scott that the sorting by columns in the instances is disabled when we use external data stores. How

Naicong; The issues at work here have to do with design and performance. Composer is first and foremost an ontology editor. Composer and TopBraid Suite offer a number of features to run potentially complex queries in the background while making it convenient for end users, that may not be
