I want to ask, if it possible to use thunderbird with tor over the
tor-browser-bundle or must I install tor parallel?
Thank you!

I downloaded the new Tor Bundle update but ever since, I have not been able to

Hi Lunar. Glad that you're finding stem to be useful!
Sathyanarayanan suggested putting together a page with stem examples
(https://trac.torproject.org/8322). If you wouldn't mind check_tor
would be perfect for that. Some more inline comments would be nice,
but otherwise it's a fine script. :)

Not so few people share your opinion, Adrelanos :)
I think that too much care about the user is underestimating the user.
Any adequate user at first MUST NOT to trust any of the software,
including Tor.
The user must decide how to use this
Same thing here. I wound up deleting the entire TBB folder and
re-installing, which fixed the problem.

How do you expect the average GFW-encumbered chinese or journalist in

I had the same problem. Before the update, did you uncheck the Configure Control
Port automatically option in Vidalia? In the new TBB the default control port was
changed to 9151 and the socks port correspondingly changed to 9150.
To fix it, i completely removed my old TBB folder and then

Same Issue with me. Running Ubuntu 12.04 64 bit.
Normally I Just copy over the old files with the new update because I
have some extra stuff I added to firefox., but that gave me the proxy
issue.
So I just ran the new version and reAdded my extensions.
