My understanding is that 7.6 changes several things about how stuff gets stored in the on disk database, which probably means you need to do a complete from scratch scan when you switch to 7.6. (clear and rescan, or use another computer to delete the .Squeezebox directory) John S. -- JohnSwens

It does not have SMB clients so you cannot mount a samba share. Theoretically you should be able to mount an NFS share, but I think somebody tried doing that and could not get it to work. If anybody really wants to try mounting an NFS share you can certainly try. Just make sure its an NFS share

Here are my results monitoring the CPU usage for different configurations: The counterpart for testing (PC) was connected to the WLAN router via Ethernet cable (100MB) all the time. Achieved net data rates for transfering a 10MB test file was roughly 450..500kByte/sec in average for all configs.

Meanwhile I've tested with an old USB memeory stick, which is way slower than my new USB HDD, too. But all I get for writing to the SB Touch via WiFi is 4MBit net transfer rate. No matter of protocol (scp or SMB) or target storage (USB or internal ramdisk => /tmp). Therefore, I'd guess the limit
