They're different because one is the server build revision number and
the other is the Touch firmware revision number. That's to be expected.

I just put the music I want to listen to on my USB key at that moment

After the last update (or maybe the one before - I can't remember) my
Touch started having issues with individual FLAC+CUE albums. The
timings seem to be wrong.
For example, if I start to play track 01 it will start to play
absolutely fine, but then before the track has finished playing (when

Hello,
I'm new comer in the forum and have a couple of questions (I will open
another thread for the other one).
I have checked that even in standby mode , my SB is not cold (I think
around 30 degres), so it is not really off...
Is there a way (another than removing the power cable) to completly
Just load the tracks into Foobar and convert to 24/96 FLAC. Don't use
WAV - it's no better sound quality than FLAC and much bigger file size.

Hello,
is there a way to save the now playing setting?
When I unselect the VUmeter and the spectrum analyser view, both are
selected back when I switch OFF/ON the box.
Thanks

No. The only Squeezebox that has ever had a true OFF is the Radio, and
the only reason for that is to spare the battery.

Sounds like it could be a bug. Are you using the internal server, a
Squeezebox Server on your network, mysqueezebox.com, or a combination
of them?

I don't think the VDAC is 24/192 capable in the way you mean. As far
as I can tell it upscales to that resolution, but cannot process
incoming data at that high resolution.

Thanks. Is 30 degres normal in Idle?

I would say by the time you get to 10's of thousands of tracks, and
adding new ones continually, you are beyond the intended application
for the Touch's server. It will work, but it will be slow. You've got
1000's of $ invested in your music, it's probably time to invest in a
proper server.
The user manual and the Logitech Web Site says in the technical
specifications, the Squeezebox Touch can play the Apple Lossless (ALAC)
without transcoding. It seems not true. I have the Squeezebox server
7.5.5. Does someone knows when the Squeezebox Touch will be able to
play ALAC without

It's much more effective/flexible to transcode on the fly if you have
enough computing power.

How is 7.6 in this regard, enabled or not ?
Btw I think it is enabled if one put a disc directly on Touch USB ?
(server can not help there, so there is no alternative buggy or not)
But it has some kind of problem, it does not always work
