there is no easy way to do this. The main issue here is that there is
no easy way to control TinySBS. Full SBS uses a web page based system
to control the server, in which you can have buttons for scanning or
not. But the Touch doesn't have enough memory to run the web server so

My testing seems to indicate that there is more than one thing going
on. I can change the frequency of the clicks by changing seemingly
unrelated parameters, which leads me to believe its NOT just simple
