Well I uninstalled Squeezebox server. Then I downloaded 7.61 and cleared
and rescanned everything. Now it seems all my music has been found. I
still cant get my favorites that I had before all this update madness,
but I guess I can recreate them.

Just wanted to throw my hat in the ring, same issue with 7.6.0

Evrything seems to be OK for me, with the last two 7.6 firmware
releases. :)
I'm currently using 7.6.1 r9482, and a server restart or clear+scan
doesn't switch the Touch on.
I've also noticed that it doens't default to 'Now Playing' which I
think was one of the causes.

I cannot get 7.6 to find my 2000 + albums that were placed on my
external hardrive using Itunes. Everything worked fine for 9 months
until I recently updated to 7.6.
7.61 also does nothing.
Going back to previous versions 7.5 seems to work for a day then I can
no longer use that version. The next
Seriously, this a completely BS design. Been there,
designed/implemented that for fully redundant, no single point of
failure disk-based storage controllers ... it *ain't* that big of a
deal! For an otherwise excellent and robust product, this is chicken
stuff. Fix it already!!

Then homeplugs would no longer cost more. Actually, I hadn't realized
until I just looked that you can now get a pair of homeplug adapters
for the cost of
If I were to go this route in would definitely be a new 'N' router and
2.4GHz interference shouldn't be an issue.
I'll have to try things out with the Touch's WIFI and some 24/96 music
with my current 'G' router see what happens.

Thanks, but HomePlugs would cost more plus I'd rather not go that
route.
I have no doubt everything will work great with the built in WLAN, but
I have some 24/96 FLAC (level 8) albums and I don't want to have to
worry about stuttering. And the added benefit of better sound quality
by turning off
Try the Touch's WLAN first. It might surprise you.
If you find the sound unsatisfying, and if you believe that changing
from WLAN to Ethernet will make the sound good enough to satisfy you,
you might want to try HomePlugs instead of a wireless adapter. They
work in a similar way, but the signal i
Hi everyone,
New here and getting ready to setup up my Touch. I've been reading
alot here about the WLAN and it's affect on sound quality and
performance issues with 24/96 files and that turning it off is
recommended.
The problem is that I need to use wireless as I can't easily run a
cable to w

Received my squeezebox touch and everything is working great! Did the
usual download and had no problems there either. I use it for the
internet radio stations and have found a few new favorites already. I'm
going to buy another one for my bedroom entertainment system. This is a
great little box!
