[SlimDevices: Touch] Squeezebox Server version for Touch

Can someone please advise what the oldest version of Squeezebox Server the Touch will run on? I'm currently running Squeezebox Server 7.4.1, which has cured a rebuffering problem on FLAC files that I had on more recent versions. Will a Touch run on this version or does it need to be higher?

I am using sb touch together with a Synology NAS and an ipod touch as remote-control (app Ipeng). When I am in the album mode, and choose an music-number from an album, the Touch always played directly that number (and made a playlist for the total Album). But now after upgrading to squeezebox

I finally got some time off and have been working on this the last couple of days. I put some wave files on an SD card and have been trying aplay. I still get ticks and pops, but not as often as when playing from squeezeplay. I tried killing jive_alsa and jive so there was not much going on and

Thanks Paul, I dodn't think integer mode has anything to do with it. I'm not a MAC expert but my understanding is that the inner guts of MAC audio processing runs using 32 bit floats. The data in the files and the actual hardware use integers so there is conversion back and forth. My
