On boot up the SBT shows EDO. MDAC is plugged in and turned on before
the SBT.
When I select USB on the MDAC, it does show that it's t 96khz, but no
signal seem to pass thru

My recent Touch purchase was also interesting.
My order was not from Amazon, I ordered it from a local Hungarian PC
webshop. Their central store is located in Germany.
Actually everything looks as brand-new. The paper box was glued down

Hi Triode
I does not detect the sample rate. I think MDAC does not recognise the
input data or no data is passing through.

Can you ssh into the touch and see if there are any errors in the logs?
Otherwise try doing a firmware update on Touch and then reinstall EDO
and see

When u reboot, does the SBT senses that it is connected the MDAC via USB
and ask u to select the option? Mine doesn't do that.

Thanks for the tip.
Shame they couldn't just put an 'update username and password' link in
the GUI though. Pretty dumb of them not too really.

Because of the hassle of sending the Touch back to USA from Japan I
opted to keep it and get a partial refund from Amazon.
Mine has fingerprints on the screen, scratches and scuff marks on
internal packaging, scratches on and around the optical jack, and the
power socket shows obvious signs of
