Could be but :
Most DVD bluerays do output 24bit on occasion but possibly onöly 16bit
when playing CD .
The 24bit output format is backward compatible with 18 and 16 bit DAC's
an olde rDAc just ignore the 8 extra bits which would just be padded
zeros with squeezebox at full volume.
Suggestion
Thanks Stratmangler and Mnyb. I ended up resetting the Squeezebox Touch
(by accident, truth be told). When it came back up it would play flacs I
had ripped from CD (16 bit, 44.1kHz) and some 24 bit, 48kHz flacs from
archive.org. But it won't play any of the 24 bit, 96kHz from HD Tracks
and
Ouch you are using the Touch itself as a server .
HD tracks 24/96 should play just fine which format did you buy ? Try
flac if wav does not work .

I am a complete idiot to NAS, used SBT with Synology NAS DJ109+ (2nd
hand set up by the seller) only to stream songs from NAS to SBT. Both
were in a network and worked fine. 109+ was dead and replaced with a
DS114. Not sure if anything missed in the setup of the new NAS, the SBT
has option as
1.
LMS has settings .
Did you choose a music folder for LMS where your actual music is ?
Did you enter your mysqueezebox.com credentials into LMS otherwise it
won't fetch your apps or all radio menus ( who really comes from
mysqueezebox.com even if you use the local LMS )
Thanks for your reply.
You mean I have to input my mysqueezebox.com credentials into the
NAS-LMS, I'll give it a try when back home.
