IIRC Touch with EDO and external USB Dac with LMS 7.7.x can only play 192k in Flac format (not sure about other rates) so your server will have to transcode or possibly it may be resampling other formats and so it may be overloaded or necessary support conversion apps are broken. So you should

The Touch will only play files with higher sample rate if they're FLAC. Do you have a DAC with coax SPDIF input that can support 24/192? If so try that, and see if the problem goes away. Another thing to consider is that some DACs/interfaces have trouble with 24/176.4 files - they just can't

You can use DNLA but you'd need LMS to be running on some sort of server for it to work. If you have a server (for example a raspberry Pi, NAS, PC or some other device) then its probably just as easy to store the music on the server or an attached storage device as it would be to use DNLA. Sent

You may need a cross over cable. Most newer devices that use Gigabit ethernet will autosense and switch but an older device like the Touch with it's 100Mbs ethernet will not. Do any lights come on anywhere on the TP-Link when the ethernet is plugged in either from the Touch or the laptop? If the

As I say it can with a server although keeping the music on then server would be even better. IMO the whole point, and I guess possibly part of the inspiration for the original slim server name, is to have simple clients with a server handling most complicated stuff. The server could be your PC
