Just have exactly the same issue as well on one of my Touch! Curious to
know if there is any solution to this problem or it's just dead.

The easiest way is to "reserve" an IP for your Touch via your router;
check router instructions. Otherwise, google "squeezebox

I recently obtained a Squeezebox Touch to play audio at higher
samplerates than with the Squeezebox Classic.
After getting the SBT to play audio I got a few questions:
- How does one assign an IP-number for the wired network? (other than
via DHCP)
- How does one disable the wifi?
