Of course to CONVERT from DSD to PCM it's going to end up 44.1/16, but
it doesn't start that way.
Keep looking at the specs. Once you've actually used a DSD converter,
you'll understand how it works.

on about this, but it IS
possible that differences can be heard, not necessarily BETTER, but
different, all relating to differing jitter during playback.
