I was still having strange intermittent wifi failures on my Touch.
So, I bought a Vonets VAR11N-300 which I plug into the Ethernet port on
this Touch.
The Vonets unit is in Bridge mode.
One thing to note: I needed an external USB 5V/1A wall wart to power the
Vonets; the USB power out of my

I am running LMS 8.2.1 - 1634705759.
My players are stuck on firmware 7.7.3.
On the players, 7.7.3 is the only "Software Update" that is offered.
Everything seems to work. (Player wifi subsystem is starting to fail...I
assume this is unrelated to firmware.)
I am at heart an "if it ain't
I left one of my Touches disconnected from power for about 3 hours.
I when I came back to it, it would let me configure the wireless network
just fine, like it always had.
It is running normally at the moment.
I assume that the wireless subsystem is on its last legs
I don't think I am experiencing interference on my two Touches.
It is as if the entire wifi hardware subsystem is missing.
I am no longer even given the option to configure the wireless
connection on my Touches

It seems like something strange is happening to Touches around the
world.
Why would both of my Touches have complete wifi failures on (about) the
same day?
Wired interfaces still seems to work

Wired is always my first choice. My other SBTs are wired. This one is in
a location where wiring would be difficult and unsightly.
I have

7.9.1 and the firmware on the SBT was installed
via my current LMS...version 7.8.* I think...

I have the same problem.
I have a Touch with an external SBS running on Linux.
For me, the Touch will finish a track and then jump back to about the
one-third played location on that track. Visually, the track keeps
playing. Volume is at 90, but there is no sound
. I have had this Touch and my SBS running great for
almost a year. I have 97% MP3s and 3% FLACs. The silence happens on
both MP3s and FLACs. I have not tweaked anything on my setup for a long
time so I have to assume some ~December 2010 firmware update has hosed
my Touch.
Anyone else?
