Been running EDO on my Touch via the coax output into my external DAC
for what seems like forever.
Hook the Touch up with coax into the Oppo.
You can turn both off if you want, and things will work fine when you
turn the 2 devices on.
I did look at the Oppo manual, and it does not accept 24/192
I've been using the coax SPDIF for many years, and it works faultlessly,
and at all the usual sample rates up to 192kHz.

I run LMS on a RasPi using piCorePlayer, and it is the best thing I ever
did.
It interfaces superbly with my local digital library on a NAS box too.
The setup runs rings around TinySC.

It's straightforward enough.
Once you have Foobar installed,and the DSD plugin added you need to add
the files or folder using the dropdown menus.
Highlight the track/tracks and right click for options.
Click on convert, followed by "..." and the setup screen opens.
It's fairly self explanatory.

AIFF can be thought of as being WAV with knobs on.
WAV capable of carrying metadata, something that WAV itself has
difficulty with.
So the files are bigger from the off.
They're both PCM, and both have bandwidth hogging issues, which if not
met causes rebuffering.
The reason why FLAC was settled
Run it on ethernet.

Just confirm my suspicions, I opened the Spotify app on my Android phone
and cast an album at my SBT, whilst looking at LMS in a web browser.
The album came up a single track at a time.
Are you using the embedded LMS server on your SBT? If so you can't use
the web browser interface.

Save yourself the grief, and get a DAC with coaxial SPDIF and/or Toslink
connections.
The Touch works just fine using those connections.
The USB output works with some DACs, but it's hit and miss, and there
never was any official support for it.

If you bothered to read the OP properly, you'll have noticed that the
Squeezebox Touch can play 24/96000 files natively.
Stick EDO on it and it can play 24/192000 files natively into an
external DAC via the coax SPDIF.
It can output 29/192000 via the USB into a HiFace2.
Some have had results hooking up a USB DAC.

Why do you assume it's a Touch problem?
It could be an issue with a certain internet radio station that you
use.
To get any proper help you will need to fill in a lot more detail.
How is the Touch set up? Which server is it running on? Which radio
station does it not play with? Which radio statio
VLC automatically does whatever is necessary to make something play.
Try Foobar instead.

I uninstalled the ickstream app in LMS, then reinstalled it.
In ickstream settings it will not log into Tidal - I get to the login
page, but after entering the login details and clicking go the web page

The Touch will output 24/192 via the coaxial SPDIF when it has EDO
