That's a very good point. Alas I am not using any fading so can't blame
that for my woes. I will definitely look at the links you posted.

hard to say because in the process I undid all the software changes I
had made to the touch. First impressions was that the sound was pretty
good but not as good as I know it can get.

this because if I can expect to get four or five years out of the
touch I bought six months ago I might skip buying a "spare". I suspect
in five years I would prefer to move on to the "next thing" in this fast
changing field an

balance between a useable GUI and a small footprint on the server
resources (memory, graphics card etc.) The price is reasonable and the
developer has been highly responsive to suggested tweaks and
improvements.
