I've also noticed that the Touch is very allergic to 2.4 GHz wifi using
40 MHz channel width.

It has always been a player-side "applet", not a server-side "plugin".

What operating system are using? Windows, macOS, Linux? The answer to
your first question depends on that. As to the channel, any WiFi
Have you changed your WIFI settings in any way (especially set 2.4 GHz
to 40 MHz bandwidth)? I've been struggling with my Touch suddenly not
connecting reliably before discovering the cause.

OK, this is weird, but after playing around with various settings which
didn't do anything and fruitlessly checking things on the SBT via a USB
keyboard (that's a tiny font!), I once mor disbled 40 MHz bandwidth -
lo! and behold! - now the connection is stable on both devices.
The first time
Since some time ago I've issues with (wireless) networking for my
SqueezeBox Touch. Signal strength is good, but networking only works
intermittently. At first I thought that my device was simply going bad
and switched to a nano router in client mode (with an ethernet
connection). Unfortunately,

It's a dead thread, but I've now experienced what appears to be the same
issue. Ethernet is working, and WiFi seems to almost work, but doesn't.
We first noticed that the SBT didn't appear in LMS' players list. A
quick reboot fixed that, and then it started playing for about 30
seconds before
Thanks for the tip regarding a nano router, I'll try that (the other
solution would be to replace the Touch with another pCP (without a touch
screen, as the official RPi display is to big for the place it needs to
be).
It seems wireless networking has gone bad. While it detects available
networks and sometimes seems to connect (getting a DHCP lease), wireless
networking doesn't really work anymore. The builtin network test fails,
whereas when I connect the SBT by ethernet, it works fine. Does the SBT
have a
Our SBT has started losing its network connection soon after boot. It
works initially and even starts playback, but stops within the first few
seconds. The network loss also happens when no streaming occurs, i.e.
when accessing the server library or trying to update the firmware. I've

Speaker and microphone would need physical holes, not transparent
windows. But yes, I think there's a proximity sensor. That would
probably use infrared as well.

I assume the big windows are left clear for the IR receiver and emitter.
Not sure what the tiny circles are for.
