Haven't heard the transporters DAC's, but I'm running the Touch with a
channel island power supply into my Benchmark DAC/PRE, and the sound is
-superb- with flac.

I don't think so. These units are more geared for the audiophile wanting
a component style piece in their system.

Nah, the worst part about going computer with music is the ripping of
all the CD's. After that, it's gravy.

I'm really impressed with the Touch. I think there is something about
hard drives that do digital very well, when compared to an optical
drive.
