well I supose this is some safety margin, some user somewhere will have
the maximum amount off apps installed and use the Tiny server at the
same time and use screensavers.

Touch and use the frequency graph screensaver

I sincerely hope soo, it is not an improvement as such, without this
fix the server performs miserable on everything less than a quad core
full blown server ?

I would be careful. I believe you will not be too happy with a 500-track
playlist on TinySBS.
I would try to get the Dynamic Playlists plugin installed on the touch
and then use that to play the larger playlist, it only moves 20 or so
tracks at a time to the current playlist.

A good idea can be to disable unecessary stuff on the touch to free
performance and memory.

Thank you for the suggestions guys. I think I will leave well enough
alone and keep the playlist at 100 on the Touch Tiny SBS. Heck just
sitting for 100 songs at one time is a lot, I cant see sitting that
long for 500 anyway!

I DID do a search and all I saw was a config setting for SBS and 500
playlist limit. Since I am not using SBS but the one built into the
Touch, I posted my question about the 100 playlist limit
Seems to me to be apples and oranges but I could have missed something
on a search.. So who knows..
I just put on my HD, Rolling Stones 500 best songs in FLAC. Went to play
it on my touch and it said it was only able to load 100 songs into the
playlist.
I am using the built-in server on the touch with a USB HD attached (
120 gb).
Is this limitaion because of the Tiny SBS? Any way around it?? I
Yes, TinySBS has a max playlist size of 100 tracks. Unlike regular SBS
there is no way to alter this on TinySBS. Well, maybe you could hack
the code in TinySBS. But the 100 track limit was put in place for
performance reasons, so even if you hacked it you might not like the
results.
