The realy insane thing is that it would probably work for us as it does

So their may be no pint in sending the file to Logitech via their FTP (

I shortened the file name, re-added to iTunes, and rescanned. Still
doesn't play.

Hmmm, could be even one character too long and cause a problem. Just for
grins, give the file a very short 3 letter

I'm sorry that I didn't provide some basic info. I am running on Mac OSX
10.8.
I don't believe this is a file length/tag issue because other tracks
from the same album with similar file names and tags don't give me any
problem.

The FLAC file plays fine.
The ALAC file plays fine from the original (non-iTunes) album folder
when that folder is added to LMS
