I use a modded 7510,and Gary (Gazjam) has previously brought his modded Caiman over to compare.The Caiman is better but not hugely so.The best mods IMO to do to the7510 are the passive mod,and then feed the dac with a good linear supply.Both of these will give you a big jump in sound quality. --

It would have to be a good DAC, I compared mine with digital out into a Beresford TC-7510 and the analogue outs and couldn't tell the difference. Modding the software to switch off the digital outs etc. as described on the link improved sound quality through analogue out beyond the digi/Beresford.
