Glad you are happy Howard, I think it is a great bit of kit.

Thanks for the feedback in this thread. It was very helpful.
I've had my Touch now for two weeks and it was everything I was hoping
for (and more). Has really revolutionized my home listening
experience. I hadn't even been using my system for a while and now I'm
listening almost daily.
And
I use a modded 7510,and Gary (Gazjam) has previously brought his modded
Caiman over to compare. The Caiman is better but not hugely so.The best
mods IMO to do to the7510 are the passive mod,and then feed the dac
with a good linear supply. Both of these will give you a big jump in
sound quality.

+1 to that. In addition to that, rather than infer conclusions based on
my finite (and limited) set of observations regarding
Touch/Transporter/DAC/cdp sound-quality, I think you s

My DAC does the same trick not only with the Touch but with my CDP as
well. It dramatically extends soundstage but flops a bit with dynamics.

It would have to be a good DAC, I compared mine with digital out into a
Beresford TC-7510 and the analogue outs and couldn't tell the
difference. Modding the software to switch off the digital outs etc. as
described on the link improved sound quality through analogue out beyond
the digi/Beresford.

As did I, but if you have the spare cash to buy a dac and use the
digital outputs, I believe you will be astounded at the sound quality.

I do not think the Touch is as good as my CD player but I have not
turned on my CD player since I bought the Touch other than to compare
the two. I am currently seriously thinking about pulling my CD player
out of the rack and selling it.
It is very good sounding and I was very surprised by how
Fantastic.
My brother-in-law just brought me one from the USA. Intension is to use
RCA analogue into my Luxman pre/Rotal Power amp. My cdplayer needs
replacement. Will rip my collection to FLAC.

Good one - Let us know what you think - I don't think you will be
disappointed. I for one will not buy another CDP.

Howard you really can't go wrong with the Touch. The Touch analog out
is very good IMHO. And the Touch makes a great Digital Transport so if
Thanks, guys. If it's good enough for a Naim system, it should be good
enough for mine.

I use the analogue outs with a Naim Nait 5i and Neat Motive 2's, I think
it's very good, unless you are used to a very good CD player then you
would probably be happy with it given the rest of your setup. I think
it's more than a match for the Naim CD5i I used to have. Of course the

I am seriously consider adding a Touch to my stereo system.
If I did, I'd be interested in using the analogue outputs. How good
are they on the Touch?
If I was really wanting fantastic analogue sound should I look more
towards the Transporter instead? (I hope the answer is no because I
