And I assume it's not just me that finds the "official" Logitech app no
longer works after upgrading lms past 7.7 .. ?
The app should probably work as well with later versions as with 7.7.
The problem is rather compatibility with the OS version it's running on.

The last release was October 2015 - 2.1.2 (2015-10-18): I have been
running it for a few years now & it is definitely up there - extremely
good. I do hope that at least they keep it current with Android

I take it you are running iOS... I have been using Orange Squeeze for
Android regularly for a few years now with a local LMS ecosystem, and
while it has some quirks, it is in my opinion, still the best controller
app out there... The down side is that I don't think it is still being
developed...
Ah, that figures.

Yea, the OS update, depending on the previous version, can trigger the

There was no uninstall/install just updates - to the app and iOS, which
is easily enough to send things awry!

iPeng usually needs to be re-registered whenever you uninstall and
re-install it because Apple doesn't allow the use of permanent IDs to
prevent tracking.
iPeng also doesn't store your credentials because that would be
potentially unsafe.
The downside is that since MySB no longer tells Apps that
Yes, I have LMS and the Touch is also used to play music from the PC.
My guess is that both apps have been updated since I last used them and
needed to be connected to Mysqueezebox again (I just found out how to do
it on iPeng, too).
That's better, do you run a local LMS server at all ? Seems like you are
connecting directly to mysqueezebox.com this should also work fine .

OK, at least it's now asking for mysqueezebox login details.
I never had set up anything for the app so what gives? Nothing in
mysqueezebox either.

My iThing is on the network.
Gave the apps a long time to run. No good.
iPeng are in touch which is VERY good.
Orange Squeeze crashed the phone so it appears to be non supported. It
didn't see anything. But - it's running differently now - let me check.
iPeng works fine usually .
Make sure the iThing is on your network at the same subnet not on 4G or
something

Although the Squeezebox is used every day, it's been a long time since I
used iPeng and Orange Squeeze.
Last night I tried iPeng: disaster. It no longer finds the Touch ("Your
player can't be found") though it does find the music folder on my PC.
If I try to play a track all I get is the track
