yes it goes away once connected. Displays track names artist etc fine.
It is just on some set up scteens and when you can't connect.

Is there a record or wiki that lists the dates of the SB3 firmware

Yes, the only time I see the dots, dashes, and what looks like a few
commas is at startup or loss of Server/Internet or on the Go Left

Do you mean they only do this on the startup screens, but work normally

That looks like part of the setup screen, which comes from the firmware,
not SBS. So the size button may not work at this particular point. What
size was the text set at before you got to this point? Is the text cut
off when you have the usual SBS menus (ie, not the setup menus)?

Touch arrives on Monday.
Classic is up for sale one question about it before it goes though,
sometimes the display has text partly off the screen as shown in the
attached pic.
Is this just a setting change, I live to have the text big for the
track information etc.
