I myself am currently dealing with similar issues. These things have
seemed to happen at various times in the past, and I'm never sure
how/why they resolve. I'm running a Macbook Pro with LMS wirelessly to
my SBT. I have my music folder library on the laptop and also use
spottily and various
Lms has its own built in dns resolving . It can get bugged sometimes
usually if lms is running before the computer gets a proper ip
assignment on your network .
Restart lms usually helps .
The latest beta versions of lms have fix for this problem .

OK. Thanx. After turning to mysqueezebox.com it works fine!.
I dont know the difference between my former settings (the one that
still doesn't work) and this new mysqueezebox.com setting.
Seems OK to me. Is there any drawback?

I looked at the diagnostics of the LMS:
LMS:
LMS running
server IP: (starts with 192...)
ports: 3x OK
mysqueezebox.com:
server IP: 79.125.18.68
Ping ports : 3xOK
And i looked at the command prompt . No succes:
it responded with: 'nslookup is not recognized as
open a cmd window then type nslookup www.mysqueezebox.com
it should give you an ip address like 79.125.18.68 back

Please note that this address will change a lot. The DNS is doing some
load-balancing, returning changing addresses.

Not necesserily if it uses always the same official ip address.
but at least the nslookup should return an or more ip address)es so that
we know that the DNS is working.

If running LMS on a PC (not a NAS) right click the little LMS icon,
select Control Panel, then Diagnostics. What is reported for ALL pings,
ports, IP's?

Looks like your server has no internet connection.
Try restarting LMS, there's a known DNS issue with pre-7.8 versions but
the fact that Spotify doesn't work sounds like it's really the Internet
connection
