Any news about wireless bridging on the Touch ?
Our local dealer has a nice occasion for the Touch, but without
internal bridging I won't buy it until it's so cheap that I can buy it
together with two powerline adapters for the same price.

This lost feature is still keeping me away from buying a new Touch ...
I need the bridiging feature for my BD player and my TV for their very
regular coming FW updates. I don't want an additional device as long as
my Classic does this job perfectly.
Voting for the bug doesn't work, because my ac

One simple solution is to buy a wireless bridge box, they can be had for
around $50. You plug an ethernet cable into the Touch and whatever other
devices you need. It takes care of talking to the wireless network.
I know, its another box and its not free, but it does exist right now

To many SB3 functions omitted by it's successor and replacement.
But they just fixed:
The "fixed volume at 100%" in 7.6b
And the reordering of menu's also in 7.6b
Sadly not the model I bought; because I was wrongly assuming that the
Touch did bridging like my SB3.

I bought one of these for my mum, plus an ASROCK ION as a vortex box.
I have to say I just assumed the wireless bridging would work. It would
be nice to place the server near the Touch but it can go next to the
router. Not ideal.
Will this come as an update in the near future or should I look for
Well. bridging seems to be not enabled in the Touch kernel. :-(
This will be pretty complicated.

You probably need the brctl util, e.g. from busybox.
Unfortunately, busybox on the Touch does not support brctl. :-(
Either you cross-compile busybox for ARM on your own, or you take a
precompiled version, e.g. from the first post on
