Like any other folder in the Finder. Or "mkdir ~/Library/Logs/Squeezebox".
Also i already have LMS to start at start up.
But did you run the quick test I described (changing that setting forth
and back)?

Also I just logged into my old iMac (which is still running LMS 7.9). I
can't find that file on the logs folder either?

One more thing you could try: switch LMS to "start at system start" (or
similar) and back. If that's already your setting, then please switch to
something else and back. It's important that you get asked about your
password in this process.
Would it then start?

It IS the problem. Create that folder and make sure you can write to it.

No, it's most likely a permissions issue on ~/Library/Logs/Squeezebox
which prevents LMS from starting. I thought the installer took care of
it, but quite obviously it still doesn't :-(. Never happened to me. But

I was running LMS 7.9. When I tried to run the server(saw it under
system preferences ) It would start for a sec then stop. I deleted and
tried to re install. Now it does not show up under system preferences .
Cant log on to the local host. When I try to reinstall again it says
installation succes
