I considered aluminum enclosure because it's easy to drill and to grind
... incidentally, it provides excellent shielding against
electromagnetic disturbances.

Very nice, and nice looking too.
Just wondering if you have considered sealed enclosure and use thick
metal to dissipate heat? This would help shield out electrical noise.

There IS some noise comming from the SB3 itself, but its PS is
Just a small point. I just replaced an older SB3 with a TOUCH. With the
SB3 sitting just next to a small AM/FM radio, the interference caused
by the SB3 powersupply made even strong FM radio signals impossible to
listen to. With the new TOUCH in same location, there is no
interference with the FM
