It is quite disappointing that this fault can't be fixed easily and that they don't have any protection circuit that could prevent this damage. Seems that this squeezebox is deemed for scrap. :( At least the power supply and remote are going on eBay. -

If you used a credit card to buy it, and that cc offers "buyers protection" (most do), you actually have a 3 year warranty (some restrictions apply). Absent a repair option the cc will either buy you a replacement or refund the entire purchase price. -

I even doubt it exist , the cheap manufacturing cost of these make it more rational to just recycle them , suppose what they did during warranty (as you get a couple of minutes human time for the manufacturing cost ). So buy another one at ebay or something . ---

I have broken my squeezebox touch by connecting it to higher voltage power supply. Now it is dead and it wont power up. My warranty have expired and I was forced to take it to third party repair shop. They can not determine where is the fault but they can see that some of the chip-sets on boar are
