Put it in a box, mark it as spares and forget it. I have been through
this with a SB radio that just died without reason after two years.

It is quite disappointing that this fault can't be fixed easily and that
they don't have any protection circuit that could prevent this damage.
Seems that this squeezebox is deemed for scrap. :( At least the power
supply and remote are going on eBay.

If you used a credit card to buy it, and that cc offers "buyers
protection" (most do), you actually have a 3 year warranty (some
restrictions apply).
Absent a repair option the cc will either buy you a replacement or
refund the entire purchase price.

I even doubt it exist , the cheap manufacturing cost of these make it
more rational to just recycle them , suppose what they did during
warranty (as you get a couple of minutes human time for the
manufacturing cost ).
So buy another one at ebay or something .
