You could also just attach an external HDD to the Mac couldn't you ?

That's certainly the easiest solution!
*Home:* VortexBox 4TB (2.3) > LMS 7.8 > Transporter, Touch, Boom, Radio

Thanks that seems to be the easiest option. I fi go that route, do i
need to change any settings on the server so it recognizes the music on
the external HDD rather than my MAC?

Just open LMS on the Mac (after the HDD is connected via USB), then go
to LMS > Settings > Basic

I'm thinking of getting a new iMac with a SSD. Given the cost I'm most
likely going with 500gb, which means i'll have to take off most/all my
music. What is the best option to use? Just hook up a external HD to the
Touch? If so what are the best ones out there? Is there a better route
to look
