...at the cost of a lower processing power too. Just keep that in mind.

There's no user interface for those settings (or most SBS settings,
really), but SBS on Touch does expose a CLI on port 9090 and does
appear to have the same
In the past couple years, Michael Herger has done a bunch of work on
the SBS control panel app -- perhaps you could point it at a Touch
SBS instance to make changes, too, but I don't know for sure.
It would be easier to write an applet to do this than change the CP... The CP
isn't aware of

running PC while listening music. But: Did somebody measure the power
consumption of Touch with connected USB-drive?
Even 3 year-old laptops came with 25 watts in power-optimized mode (TFT
off, ports off, CPU underclocked)

Scan complete. 3 watts when nothing is playing and the screen is dark, 5
watts when Touch is playing music from the USB drive. Ask Touch to
unmount the USB drive, unplug it, and turn Touch's screen off and it's
down to 2 watts.
