Yes,mine is the same.No ethernet cable connected and won't go to
screensaver when powered off.

Radio is an exceptions is actually has an off state hold the off button

Yup, I see exactly the same thing. I'm running my Touch without a
network connection. Both the onscreen and the remote power buttons are
ignored. I haven't tried it while playing music but at any other time
there's no change to the screen that's being displayed.

The problem is, if you start the Touch (plug in to the power) without
ethernet cable (wifi not tested), the Power button doesn't work (so no
screensaver).
If you plug the ethernet cable after the start, you must reset the
Touch.
I think it's a bug.

Since this morning the power button off doesn't work (on screen or on
remote).
I did a reset : same result
I did a restore to factory settings : same result.
Any idea ?
