I'm happy to report that it is still keeping perfect time some 4 weeks
later.

Intrigued by this I set my watch to exactly time.windows.com (which my
FreeNAS uses to synchronise) and then booted into the bios. It was
running 1.5 mins slow so I reset it to exactly that of time.windows.com.
That was Sunday and guess what? My LMS has now stopped losing time and
is still spot
I stumbled across this thread and found it interesting. I have two
Logitech Squeezeboxes. One of them is attached via USB to a Western
Digital external hard drive. The other one has an SDHC card inside. They
are both connected by Ethernet cable to the home network and neither is
attached directly
I'll post back again no problem. However, previoisly it started to drift
immediately losing a minute or more a day until it got to 7-8 mins slow.
The only way to correct it was to temporarily connect to MySB.com.
It is still spot on to the second at the moment.
The only possible thing that I

If the time starts to drift again, another thing to consider is the
small button cell on the motherboard itself.

Hi daytripper. How did you do this? Updating the bios completely or just
amending the time in PC bios settings?
I thought that this was a known bug and nothing to do with people's PCs.
It is always 7-8 mins out until you connect to MSB.com.
Thanks
I just rebooted my FreeNAS install from the command line and went into
the BIOS at the restart (hammering F2 in my case on an Acer netbook
running FreeNAS).
From here it was a simple case of setting the time, applying the changes
leaving it to boot up FreNAS. It looked good last night but then
I hope it worked don't get me wrong! Before you changed the bios time
was it actually 7 minutes slow? It's just that it seems that people who
never connect via MySB see the time drift to 7-8 mins slow. It would be
a big coincidence if all of these people had PCs with the bios time
running 7-8
Hi there
I'd like to revive this thread - my setup (Boom, Touch, Radio) doesn't
display the correct time - they are all 7 minutes slow.
The FreeNAS box I'm using runs the correct time, the router is correct
and so is my computer (not that that should make a difference). So where
is my SB setup
I changed the BIOS on my FreeNAS box and the problem is solved..! Many
many thanks :)

It is exactly 4 hours off.
Time zone is correct, router time is correct. Reboot doesn't fix.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Your router shouldn't make a difference.
If you are using mysqueezebox com:
Logon on to mysqueezebox.com and check the time settings there.
If you have installed software on the pc to play music off your hard
disk, please go to that PC and make sure it's time zone settings are
correct.
settings at mysqueezebox.com and on my pc are both correct
any other ideas?

If you have LMS on a computer on your network the Touch will get it's
time from that computer, as long as you are connected to the server on
that computer.
A time issue can occur depending on how the time on the computer is set.
There are two ways time can be set on a computer:
