Tried Apesbrain (post #2) suggestion?
Also settings screen select skin Touch skin / Remote skin .
Default only the ir- remote uses the large text skin , who has larger
text but less details ( that you won't see from a distance anyway ).
So for Touch skin pick the small text skin and you get more bars and
stuff.
And for cycling the now playing screen just tap at the middle of it ,
but in large text skin there is no bar for play and stop etc.

it.
Not finding any way to re-enable the status bar at the bottom.
I.e. walking over to the Touch screen there is no way to pause the
music, or any power off button.
Can't find it under settings-screen- anywhere

I have 2 Touch's connected to LMS 7.7.3 and everything generally works
fine
however the home and status bars on the screen seem to have gone AWOL
no problem when using the remote but a pain in the butt when using the
screen

If you touch the screen it will cycle through various versions of the
Now Playing screen and the controls should reappear. If not, you need
to adjust what versions are allowed to be displayed:
Settings Screen Now Playing Now Playing Views
