My wife (Chris) and I have the same issue, what we did was make a set a genres for each of us, hers all start with C_ mine all start with J_, we just have to make sure that for every CD we rip we don't use the off the internet genre but put it under one of ours. We haven't had any problems at all

Many thanks for the advice. After looking at the multi user option I have gone for setting the genre for all her music as 1. Mary's Music. I just need to show her how to select the genre and it should be straightforward! But I bet she'll still go for the CDs... (well, at least until they go in

Install Triode's multi-library plugin. Then users can choose your library or your wife's library. In LMS SETTINGS PLUGINS, be sure to tick the box to show all 3rd party plugins. You'll also need his custom browse plugin. While you're at it, you'll likely find his dynamic playlists and sql

You can use more than one genre tag or use a separator like ; ( you have to set a preference in LMS ) . Multiple tags is probably the best aproach . The multilibrary plugin is probably a good idea . But it may not matter after a while , if she learns to use the search function or build some
