Bizarre. I just looked at mine to discover that it has protective
film on it. But, it's clear, not blue. So that's my excuse for not
noticing and removing it.

This came up in the Beta testing phase, we got new retail units and even
though previous units all had chrome stands, it took some people a while
to realise it wasn't meant to be blue. To be fair, there was also two
layers of protective plastic on these first units, the first layer was
easy to rem

Here's the photo that made me wonder if he knows it's supposed to be a
chrome stand. I guess he must because he took it apart and the plastic
edges must be showing.

Then peel off the protective plastic to reveal the chrome below as
should be :-)
