I'm not (these days) quite enough of an electronics tinkerer to want
to try repacing the screen: which I think has come up in past, similar
threads. Albeit very dim, the screen is just about visible enough - for
the moment! - for this old Touch to serve as a back-up if one of the
other faile
I had that once in the early days - spoke to Logitech support and they
said the screen is bust, it happens, send it back. They replaced with
a new one. It played ok, just I could not see the screen hardly. Maybe
backlight or screen power.

I fired up my spare Touch to do a Community Firmware update. For a
moment, the screen was "normal" and then it went very, very dim. Just
about readable, in a very dark room. Very, very difficult though to
enter a new network password accurately!
