This VU meter looks fine. Is there anything similar for the Controler,
or is the hardware too slow to support it?

There isn't anything ready to use for the Controller.
It might be possible to do something with the third party Custom Clock
plugin but it will show up as

I think the main reason it hasn't been implemented on the Controller is
that the CPU is to slow to make it reliable, the same situation also
exists on the Radio. I've tried the spectrum meter and analogue VU
meter on the Radio through Custom Clock and it works but it's

The c code for the VU meter is pretty simple, it shouldn't be taking up
much CPU. It seems to me the problem is copying over the pixmap for
each image. We ought to be able to apply some accelerations for this.
The video hardware has some fast block copy functions we

Are you sure that's designed for Touch? I know there's a 'snowflakes'
plugin for the IP3K devices, and that certainly wouldn't work on the
Touch. I haven't heard of anyone writing a new 'snowflakes' for the
Touch, but that doesn't mean no one has.
EDIT: For Touch
I downloaded the added snowflakes under the settings of the web
control.
I can not access it.
How do I do this correctly?

That's certainly something that Logitech didn't have to add..it doesn't
really serve any purpose...other than looking really cool. :)
It does add some Pizazz to things.

For the Now Playing screen there are the standard ones plus some third
party artwork to them that can be installed through the third party
Patch Installer applet.
As screen savers you can make a customized VU meter or spectrum
analyzer with the third party Custom Clock applet and configure it
Ok I'll try the third party app
thanks
