My favorite subs are from Rythmik, they are amazing, and not TOO
expensive. One really unique thing about them is that they sell the
drivers and electronics so you can build your own. See

oh, you HAVE to get a subwoofer. whenever i power down mine, sound is
skeletal, no meat. check out Hsu Research who specializes in subs.

If you are looking for smooth integration with your main speakers,
check out REL. Not for shaking your pants, though.
Whatever you decide on, listen to it first in your system, if possible.
