MySqueezebox.com is currently down.
Always happens this time of the year. I thought it would change now they
no longer sell the Squeezeboxes for Christmas but was obviously

I agree with previous posts - if the answer is constantly having to stop
/ start SBS, that's garbage. I've been doing DHCP Release / Renew on my
linksys router to get things to work again, and that's been annoying
enough, but I can at least do that on my phone. Seems crazy with all
the things
I alsp had this problem and posted on the mysqueezebox.com under
'problems with apps'. I was much obliged to garym who suggested going
in to preferences (this was on a Mac) stopping squeezebox server and
restarting. I had added a new router and the computer took some time
picking it up by which
Seriously, this a completely BS design. Been there,
designed/implemented that for fully redundant, no single point of
failure disk-based storage controllers ... it *ain't* that big of a
deal! For an otherwise excellent and robust product, this is chicken
stuff. Fix it already!!

This error has now happened to me - slimserver dns issue, resolved by a
Squeezebox service restart. Thanks for the restart tip. This is on a
fresh Win7 x64 and Squeezebox install so it can't be due to old files
lying around.
Slimserver v. 7.5.5.

This problem has nothing to do with your router etc. The real reason is
that SBS tries to determine your DNS server at startup, and if it fails
to do so (e.g. due to networking not being up yet), if you are using a
non-Windows server all future DNS requests will fail, too.
This is rather

I did this restart too and it has helped with this problem.
I've experienced this as well and added a host entry to resolve
mysqueezebox.com and then later erased it. There is a short period of
time when SBS can't seem to to query DNS. I have never figured out
exactly what was going on but the host entry got it working.

I've been using a Squeezebox Touch for some time to listen to music on a
hard drive and Internet radio via a wifi connection. I recently bought
a Squeezebox Radio for use in another room. Since adding the radio, I
sometimes have trouble switching from My Library to anything
requiring Internet
Are you using your computer for the WiFi access? i.e. WiFi devices
connect to your computer and not a WiFi router?
If yes, my suggestion would be to buy a good WiFi router, that alone
may solve your issue.
Or you could have an IP conflict (two devices having the same IP #)
regardless of which

Yes, I have done that. It still doesn't help, and why would sbs not be
able to
Did you try the router reboot? Wouldn't hurt to completely reboot your
entire network.
Unplug router, turn off PC, unplug Touch. Now bring them back up in
that same order waiting for each device to fully boot up before
proceeding to the next (SBS running before plugging Touch back in).

I checked the logs on the sbs, and it looks like it itself is having
trouble resolving the address, but the site itself is completely
loadable from the server. What is stopping the server from getting the
ip address?

Try rebooting your router.
Are you running SBS on your computer or connecting directly to MySB.com
online?
If using SBS go to SBS Control Panel Diagnostics, what is reported
for ALL ports, pings, IP's?

I am running a SBS, and the touch unit should also be connecting
On my squeezebox touch, all of a sudden I have started to get couldn't
