Hello,
just compiled hdparm-6.3 for the SB Touch (running 7.6.0). Trying to
set -S1 on my external USB HDD (/dev/sda) results in the following
message:
/dev/sda:
setting standby to 1 (5 seconds)
HDIO_DRIVE_CMD(setidle1) failed: Invalid argument
Looks like the kernel is missing from commands!?

The HD worked on a DreamBox and a FritzBox with hdparm with no problem.
So I suggest that it should also work on the SqueezeBox with hdparm
(puhh, so much boxes...)

There is nothing : Your HD will go in sleep mode after some time without
any acces.

This is determined by the Power Management of your HDD, nothing to do
with the Touch.
