I have the same problem with a logitech usb headset.
It sometimes helps to disconnect the usb headset for 30 sec (dbus, phonon, udev
check interval ??) .
Then it is listed in the kmix dialog as e.g. headset #8 (it counts up the
headset, although it is the same headset).
I think, in the 14.04
I can confirm this on my Del 7537, I can't seem to find a solution. Did
anyone manage to do that?

Gallery flickers
This is a rather old bug that was submitted against a now unsupported
release. Looking at the last bug that was dup'ed to this one, that bug
was against 13.10. It appears the crash has been fixed by at 14.04, so
I'm going to mark it as such.
