Very possible explanation. USB headset problems are mentioned in BIOS
changelog, I have USB headset and I recently plugged it into different
port.
I will update BIOS when possible, and report result.

input subsystem sending key repeat events event after an input device

itself 10_20 seconds later, but sometimes it does not ends at all.

The janitor said that the bug is fixed in the here above named package
but how to install this package / patch? I'd rather not do any new
upgrade (I am on LTS 14.04 upgraded from 13.10 and wish to remain

Mmm, I tested further, and I think Chris is right. I was initially
fooled by the fact that I was hearing some echo in my phone when
connecting to the same chat room with my laptop, but it appears that
echo came from the laptop’s microphone. When I walked into another room
and closed the door,
I did the "swapoff workaround" a number of times and not always it
worked...
Probably the swap handling is only part of the problem...

With the help of Jean-Baptiste I was able to get some more information
from a device exhibiting the problem.
The logs indicate that the phone is continuously receiving repeat key
events (scancode=125=left-meta) from the touchscreen input device. These
events are keeping the device awake.

I have the same unmet dependencies and broken packages issue when trying
to install qt5-default but the solution proposed by Nicholas on
2015-09-11 didn't work for me. Nicholas's solution also results in held
broken packages. Ubuntu 14.04.
