I am running 16.04 LTS on a MacBook Pro and it is dropping the nm-applet
icon after a resume. I have a suspicion that it was reliable until I
created a second user on the computer. Then it would appear for one
person and not the other, and when produced in the other it disappeared
from the previo
After upgrading to 16.10 I can not reproduce this problem anymore.

The solution suggested in comment #36 works for me, ntpd is running after
reboot.
Actually I did not create ntpdate_bak in the directory, I simply inserted the
exit 0 statement in the script.

FYI - @Mauricio - I'm tracking the Debian bug on my own and since a
libvirt merge is about to happen some-when next time anyway. If timing
